Katrina Kaif (born July 16, 1983) is a British actress who works predominantly in Hindi cinema. After working as a fashion model, she made her acting debut in Boom (2003) and appeared in the Telugu film Malliswari (2004). Her early Hindi releases included Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005), Namastey London (2007), Partner (2007), and Welcome (2007).
Kaif earned a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the thriller New York (2009). Her subsequent releases included Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009), the political drama Raajneeti (2010), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011), which earned her a second Filmfare Award nomination for Best Actress. In 2012, she starred in the action thriller Ek Tha Tiger and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, followed by Dhoom 3 (2013), Bang Bang! (2014), and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017).
